Hillside and General Storage Information

Hillside is a suburb in Melbourne, located 24 kilometres northwest of the city’s Central Business District. At the 2021 census, it recorded a population of 17,331. Its local government areas are the Cities of Brimbank and Melton.

This family-friendly suburb covers about 8.1 square kilometres, including 21 parks covering 5% of the total land area. It used to be part of the adjoining suburb of Sydenham and its name was changed to Hillside 18 years ago. It has precincts named Banchory Grove, Bellevue Hill, Cypress Rise, Parkwood Green, Regency Rise, and Sugargum.

A massive water tower, fondly called by the locals as ‘The Golf Ball’, exists in Bellevue. It is visible from several kilometres around and is a major landmark in the outer northwestern suburban area.
